Despite what many school sex education classes are teaching, condoms are an easy to use and very effective method of preventing both disease transmission and pregnancy.
There are a few things to be aware of. Many novelty condoms are made for fun, and are not effective against sexually transmitted disease or in preventing pregnancy. There are a few exceptions, but if it is flavored, glows in the dark, or has other very unusual features, make sure that it is certified. We do not sell any condoms that are not certified to prevent STD transmission and pregnancy.
Which condoms are best is a very personal
choice, and the only way to find out what you like is to try many different
types. The one thing we suggest using, even with lubricated condoms, is
additional lube. Friction is what breaks condoms, and using additional
lube prevents those frictive breakages. However, using an oil based lube
will destroy the condom very quickly, exactly the opposite of what you
want to do. Use only silicone or water based lubes. Also, using lubes makes
it feel better, and a few drops inside the tip of the condom can
feel very nice on the penis. See our selection of lubes in our store.
